Best on the market..
easy to install. the seat fits very well, but we switched to a soft seat. rinses cleanly and quickly. charges quickly. installed in less than half an hour. we use them in our apartments and trailer rental. build and sell houses and these are or are going to the goal. we have used kohler and toto but they usually have bad valves and clogs because of the smaller siphon and smaller purge valve giving less power.

Five Stars..
exactly what we wanted

Love It!!!..
i love these toilets! so much that I have two. I ordered both toilets through bath1. when I ordered the second toilet I received only one box (the tank). when ordering online please ensure you receive both boxes - reservoir and bowl are packaged separately. anyway i called bath1 and they ordered me another one for free as long as i return the tank at their expense. I received it in less than 3 days! i also like bath1 just because they bend over to please their customers. the toilet flushes vigorously and works well with my 100 year old plumbing. it was easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. the inside of the tank is already installed for you so all you need to do is put the tank and bowl together and fix the waterline. if i had more bathrooms i would keep putting this toilet in every bathroom. i cannot say enough good things about the american standard and its reliability.

Powerful flushing toilet but not completely unstoppable..
the american standard pro champion does a great job sending everything in the bowl down the drain. their ad shows him flushing a bucket of golf balls - I suspect this *not* is the case with the California version which only allows 1.28 gallons per flush. with 20% less water than 1.6 gpf models, of course it can't defy the laws of physics. nevertheless, 1.28 gallons flows into a 4-inch inlet, so I've only managed to stop it once since it was installed a few months ago. however, i have two issues that everyone should be aware of: 1) while the "pro" model does a better job of cleaning the bowl than the normal model you can get at the home depot, this professional standard american champion still does it not as good as a toto drake (the other brand I have in other bathrooms). i.e. without being too graphic, if there is something around the edges of the bowl (below the normal waterline), it may take a second flush (or the rustle of a toilet bowl brush) to get things shiny and clean again. the toto, on the other hand, is quite amazing in this regard. my second problem with this american standard toilet is that it sometimes runs water for a second or two (i hear it a few times a day). that is, long after someone enters the bathroom, the tank will decide to turn on the water for about 2 seconds. I've checked for leaks, which seems to be the case, but I can't find anything. my only explanation (other than a small leak on the valve in the tank) would be that we are using untreated hard water and I suspect there is sand in the valve. I recommend it because I haven't heard it work on its own for several days, nor in the first month after installation. one last word of warning - my first order for this american standard toilet arrived with the bowl broken into dozens of pieces. the driver *must* have heard the sound of china and decided to let me fix it since the moment I moved the box even an inch or so, I heard the sound of china. and frankly, bath1 handled this poorly as they were out of stock on the elongated bowl version of this toilet and wouldn't know from their suppliers when they were back in stock. because the toilet I had in my house was in dire need of replacement and I didn't want to pay the much higher price elsewhere, I finally ordered this version with round bowl. and of course about 3 weeks later the stretched version came back in stock. i was quite unhappy with the whole thing and even worse after emailing and calling them several times they did not call me back when i was home ( i have to be honest and say they left me two messages but each time i called back there was no mechanism for me to actually talk to the person who left the message (or they were just not available. i was hugely disappointed with bath1. inspection and returns because bath1 didn't respond to my emails asking how to deal with the situation I received a $20 credit for my issues but that's not what I wanted - I just wanted to know when the toilet would be back in stock I find it incomprehensible that bath1 doesn't way to contact suppliers to find out when something will be available - even if it's just an estimate.

A toilet worth raving about..
it was our second pro champion (and second with the round forehead). the first one bought 7 months ago had some issues with the valve leaking which took a while to fix. once this issue is resolved we will like this toilet. it blushes like a champ. we have teenagers who regularly clog all our older toilets. not anymore! we have knee problems in the family that literally made going up and down our old shorter toilets painful. not anymore! our old toilets started smelling the day after they were cleaned. not anymore! the antimicrobial surface really helps with that I think. our second pro champion (this one) has been champion from the start. this one took me less than 30 minutes to install (not including the time it took to remove the old toilet or fix rusted grooves on the "exhaust" pipe flange). my wife likes the look of the round front and the modest profile. with the mayfair slow close wooden toilet seat (which is also phenomenal) it is a winning combination. we couldn't be happier. and I'm hardly ashamed that I expressed this opinion about the toilet.
