American Standard Tub..
appears to be exactly as ordered except for one small item that bath1 took care of. that's why i'm a fan of bath1. Outstanding service. one thing I can mention about this tub is that the insulation on the bottom is meant to stay in place per the installation instructions. I think for insulation and structural support. I had it installed by a plumber, that's about all I can say about the structure. but there is one thing people should know and that is that this tub has a larger outside size which i thought would make it a deeper tub. but what I found was that the floor of the bath was actually higher off the ground making it more difficult to get out of this bath if you are an older person. therefore I would not buy this tub again. I formed this opinion after using this tub for years.

Needs proper support when put in..
nice bath and as usual bath1 are the best to deliver on time! a word of advice though, my contractor installed the tub and now the grout around it cracks as the tub moves, or rather it moves a bit when you step in due to the material it's made of. my contractor is back now making a hole in my closet to feed concrete under the tub to better support it. let your contractor know so you don't have the same problem. I think if it was cast iron it wouldn't be a problem.

This is a great alternative to the cast iron tub we removed..
it's a great alternative to the cast iron tub we removed. it has the durability of cast iron without the weight and cost. it's sturdy enough not to tip or warp when moved in it, like an acrylic tub. you can easily clean it with a sponge cloth and liquid soap, but it is resistant to chemicals and can be scrubbed if necessary. the sloping backrest is very comfortable for relaxing in the bath. it met my need to replace a 50 year old cast iron tub in a small space (60" x 30")

Nice bathtub. Has a flat not shiny surfacw..
the bath works well. looks cool. the surface is a flat surface rather than a glossy surface. I would have preferred a glossy finish.

Great price for this quality product.....
was very suspicious of ordering a bathtub online but took a chance after unable to find a decent tub that we could realistically afford. this is a sturdy american tub and easy to install once the stringer is set to the correct height. this is not a glossy white bath, rather it is a warmer or almost off white color, keep that in mind if you are looking for other white pieces. our new tile is much brighter white and there is a noticeable difference between the two white colors. anyway we were very happy with the tub, no squeaks or holes where the tub feels unsupported. shipping was great, we were able to schedule the delivery to our convenience and the delivery team brought the tub to the room we wanted.
