Extremely fast shipping- quality tub..
when renovating our 50 year old bathroom we wanted to replace an american standard cast iron bathtub. we also wanted a deeper bath and it fit into the existing alcove space. our contractor told us to go to lowes or home depot to order what we wanted but delivery would take at least 3 weeks which would have delayed the renovation. i never really considered buying something like a bathtub from bath1, but i did a search and was surprised that the bathtub was available and "in stock at bath1" (I always feel better when bath1 has something this great in stock when there are is a problem). after carefully checking the model and the discharge position, i ordered it on a thursday morning at 8am. bath1 said it would ship in 1-2 days and even said the expected shipping would be Monday. however, I received an email stating that the tub shipped the same day as Thursday's order. imagine my surprise when I got a call at 7:30 the next morning that the truck carrier (located in a town about 1 hour from mine) had it and wanted it delivered the same day (Friday). I received the bath the next day without shipping costs (bath1 prime). as for the tub, it appears to be a high quality porcelain on a steel and epoxy laminate material which is thicker than the original cast iron but much lighter. the US standard says the material is stronger than cast iron and installers like the lighter weight. we also ordered the deeper drain overflow—combined with this tub's deeper basin, you've got a really deep tub in a five-foot alcove. the side of the tub that your back would rest on is angled so you can easily sink to your neck. we haven't bathed yet and I'm curious about the non-slip bottom. there are numerous "patches" where the underside has a finish that I would describe as a sandpaper to the touch when dry. I'm sure it would be very "non-slip" but I wonder what it would do to your bare behind sliding on it. i guess it will be fine if it is filled with water and i would definitely like the slip protection when showering. overall very happy with the purchase.

Solid good quality...
very nice deep bath. good quality and looks good!

Nice tub with good size..
nice size bath. seems well built and both sturdy and light at the same time. it was easier to install as it was on the lighter side I could do it myself. installation is simple, you plug in a 2x4 stringer and install it. after installation it seems very sturdy, not cast iron, but not flimsy either. i didn't seem to be hard to clean or scratch easily but to be honest it was in the guest bathroom so i didn't use it much and then sold the house. i would say i was happy with the purchase because of the ease of installation and looks.

Man size and easy clean..
big enough for a man and cleans up in 5 minutes with a few scrub bubbles and a cloth.

Sweet!..
arrived in good condition but a little late. (It was a long truck ride across the country.) Plumber installed with no problem. he preferred to install his own overflow and drain that looks good and works well. the deeper tub adds a little extra "something" to the average bathroom. very happy with bath1 customer service and product. since the tub is deep, consider installing a grab bar/safety bar for getting in and out. useful even for people who are not old or sick.

Love it!..
this bath is perfect! it's the perfect size, not too big and not too small. the invisible diamonds on the bottom of the tub work perfectly to prevent accidental slipping. the tub is easy to clean and i love that!
