365 days per year and when the O-rings catastrophically fail water literally squirts all over the place like a geyser so be fore..
This American Standard Kitchen Faucet is an entry level faucet, but dollar for dollar, it is one of the easiest faucets to install and repair. however, it has its weaknesses which I will discuss shortly. This is a heavy duty 8 inch kitchen faucet that can be installed in less than 30 minutes, depending on whether you also need to replace both water supply lines (recommended). it features ceramic cartridge style stoppers making this service maintenance free compared to replacing neoprene rings every few years. just be sure to pack the body with plumbing before installing…more on that soon too. the finish is virtually indestructible, requiring only an occasional wipe. the weakest link in this faucet is the 3 o-rings which fail and then leak at an alarming rate. these o-rings are not a standard size making you a captive audience for the american standard when your $4.00 is misused for these 3 o-rings. i wrote to complain and express my displeasure with the american standard but my concerns fell on deaf ears as it seems they want profit rather than customer satisfaction. what is needed is a change in the price of o-rings or at the very least "contractor packs" of these o-rings as I can guarantee you will change the quantities every year...rates of very alarming failures. when installing this fixture be sure to put some plumber's putty under the body of this faucet so that when the o-rings fail they can "drip" water down the drain. what bothers me is that a kitchen faucet is the most used kitchen faucet in every household. †we have it 24/7/365 and when o-rings fail catastrophically the water literally sprays everywhere like a geyser so be warned. i have replaced this faucet a total of 3 times in 6 years as the weakest part of this design is the spout swivel which gradually wears out. for me it's just more economical to replace this faucet every 2-3 years when they finally come into action... the good news is the ceramic cartridges have never failed which is a testament to the american standard design team.. ...now just repair or change the materials of your problematic o-rings. $4.00 retail for 3 US standard o-rings?...really? shame on you... fix that design flaw or at least give those o-rings away for free!

Good kitchen faucet..
everything I expected. the water turns on and off exactly - no residual drops. and it is sealed directly with copper - no plastic pipe is needed.
-
one faucet for hot and cold..
replaced the one we had for years - good to have that swingarm

Excellent product..
I use cheaper chrome plastic faucets that only last a few years. they all have the touch and feel of their price - cheap. this stock faucet looks great and feels solid; I expect it will outlive me (and I expect to last a few more years)!

Very nice. With minor machined flaws..
minor defect in the work of polishing the material and the hot water cartridge.
