Most importantly, I hope you stay safe during this challenging and uncertain time!
Over the course of the last several weeks our day-to-day lives have changed tremendously and it’s with a bittersweet understanding that we can finally start checking off our long-awaited to-do lists.
It’s been somewhere around three weeks since we’ve been
instructed to stay home. It’s important and so necessary that we work together to
keep this pandemic from growing and spreading, and yet, spending this much time
at home can start to feel a little uncomfortable, and honestly- a little dull.
The COVID-19 (Corona) virus has changed the way that we live. Schools are
closed, bars and restaurants are closed, movie theaters, salons, shopping
malls, really any kind of social entertainment, all closed. There’s not much else
to do than to work on those home projects you’ve been putting off.
In this blog I'm going to shout out a fun trend that would make a beautiful addition to your space and enable you to see your home with fresh eyes-even when you’re
tired of looking at it.
We’ve been preparing
a lot more meals at home recently, so that means a lot more time spent in the
kitchen, and more opportunity to really notice the little things that I’ve been
putting off updating/replacing. When my husband and I bought our home, the kitchen was the room that really captivated
us. The previous homeowner had clearly taken their time thinking about the
style they wanted, and (to our delight) spared no expense bringing it to life. From
the beautiful, dark cherry wood cabinets that reach all the way to the ceiling (complete
with under-cabinet lights), to the coordinating ceramic-tiled back splash and granite-style
counter tops, all the way down to the gleaming
hardwood floor, they seemingly thought of everything! Honestly, every now and
then I’ll stand back and look at my kitchen (when it’s freshly scrubbed, and
the counter tops aren’t littered with mail or snacks or toys) and pretend that I’m
the host of a wildly popular baking show. I think the only areas for improvement
would be to update the kitchen sink and faucet. They got left behind during the
remodel, and the old stainless-steel sink and leaky faucet are simply not
cutting it in my big fancy dream kitchen.
So this trend I’ve been seeing a lot of lately are the granite sinks with the
matching faucets; have you seen these? They’re very pretty and feel very put-together! They look
professional and because they match so perfectly, they add a design-y feeling
to your space.
A
number of brands have jumped on this trendy style, and we have several variations available for sale on our website at Bath1.
