Can't get my wife out of the shower now. .....
I can't get my wife out of the shower right now. the last grohe shower head lasted 22 years. it eventually succumbed to mineral deposits from hard water. needless to say. it is made in germany, not in china.

Replacement for an identical unit that failed after 12 years .....
replacement of an identical device that has broken down after 12 years. probably would have lasted longer if we hadn't had high mineral content in the water in arizona

You Get What You Pay For..
I have two of these heads at home. one has been there since the autumn of 2006. it is still in tip top condition. sometimes one of the "shower holes" is clogged. I just gently wipe the end of the hole (which is a soft plastic or rubber) with my hand and it unclogs. plus I find that with occasional cleaning you keep the spray jets straight. if the jets are skewed, just adjust them with your finger and you can make a correction. I like the "champagne" setting for relaxation, but usually use the "normal" or "rain" settings. I think the price is about half way to other fine shower heads that can cost $350-$500. but I believe you get what you pay for with this particular model with 5 settings. most more expensive models only have 3 settings. I just bought (March 2012) two more of this model for a second home we just bought. my only warning would be that, like most plumbing products, grohe is either going to produce or have already stopped producing this fine shower head.
